Meet Homer "Snake" Randle III

 Homer Randle III earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Aviation Management from the University of North Dakota in May 1999. He later completed a Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning and Management from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, in May 2006. A seasoned aviation professional, Mr. Randle holds a Commercial Instrument Multi-Engine Pilot rating and is the President and Owner of Odyssey Consulting LLC.
Mr. Randle has held management roles with several respected organizations, including AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell), the Houston Airport System, Cambata Aviation, World Service Company, Florida Memorial University, and Jean Ribault Senior High School. He served as a Board Trustee for the Bailey Military Institute and has provided consulting services to numerous small businesses. His expertise includes strategic planning, staff development, team building, human resources, employee retention strategies, and operational efficiency.
From 2014 to 2018, Mr. Randle served as President of the South Florida Chapter of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP). During his leadership, the chapter awarded over $42,000 in scholarships to high school and college students pursuing flight training, STEM degrees, and technical training in aviation.

Mr. Randle’s commitment to aviation and community engagement has earned him several notable recognitions. He was accepted into the 2010 Edition of the Biltmore Registry of Executives and Professionals while he worked as a Professor and in-house Air Force ROTC Recruiter at Florida Memorial University. He also received the OBAP General Flight Scholarship in 2008. He was also appointed National Chairman for Youth Pilot Retention for Black Pilots of America and received the Profile of Prominence Award from the National Organization of Women of Achievement for his contributions to aviation and his community.
 In 2014, he became the first Chapter President in OB AP’s 43-year history. He also received the Command Leadership Resource Management Scholarship awarded by United Airlines and OBAP. Mr. Randle is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Black Pilots of America, Tuskegee Airmen Inc., The Bronze Eagles Flying Club (Houston, Texas), Grace Flight South Central.
Currently, Mr. Randle continues to lead Odyssey Consulting LLC and contributes as a writer and STEM consultant/aviation subject matter expert for TRE Magazine.

As a contract commercial pilot, Mr. Randle has logged flight time in a variety of aircraft, from single-engine planes to multi-engine turbine aircraft. He is also a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and a nationally recognized Dive Buddy through the Handicap Scuba Association. His diving interests include shark diving, drift diving, wreck diving, and reef exploration.



In addition to aviation and diving, Mr. Randle is passionate about public speaking and youth engagement, particularly in areas related to STEM and careers in aviation and aerospace. He has served as a keynote speaker for numerous school districts and universities, including Clear Creek ISD, Houston ISD, Aldine ISD, Missouri City ISD, St. Pius X High School, Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School, Texas Southern University, Cheyney University, the 500 Black Men Chapter of Jacksonville, and Crossover Jacksonville. He is also an enthusiast of Formula One racing.

Mr. Randle has contributed to four published books, either by writing forewords or providing literary reviews. In January 2008, he published his first children’s book, Homer Goes to Flight School, which tells the story of his journey through flight school and aims to inspire young readers to dream big and persevere through challenges. He is currently working on his second book, Legacy of Tuskegee, slated for release in early 2026.
